What rates are available for business customers? There are three General Service Rates:
G-1: An energy-only rate for our small commercial and industrial customers. who use less than 10,000 kWh per month on average may take service on this rate.

G-2: A demand and energy rate. The demand charge reflects the cost to put the customer on our system based on demand. A customer who uses greater than 10,000 kWh per month can be moved from the G-1 rate to the G-2 rate. (This rate requires a demand meter to be installed.)

G-3: A time-of-use rate for our larger commercial and industrial customers. The time-of-use rate is billed on usage during peak and off-peak periods. Peak hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Off-peak hours are 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. On this rate, a customer has an opportunity to save money by taking advantage of the lower, off-peak rate. A customer whose average monthly demand exceeds 200 kW can be moved from the G-2 rate to the G-3 rate. (This rate requires a time-of-use meter to be installed.)
