Massachusetts Electric Company and Nantucket Electric Company ("Companies") have issued a Request for Proposals seeking fixed price bids for load following service for the Industrial Customer Group in each of the three load zones (SEMA, NEMA, and WCMA). The Companies intend to evaluate and select supplier(s) on the same day that final pricing is due.

Request For Proposals for Renewable Energy Certificates

The Massachusetts Electric Company and Nantucket Electric Company have issued a Request for Proposals to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates ("RECs") to meet the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard ("RPS"), the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard ("APS"), the Clean Peak Energy Portfolio Standard ("CPS") and the Clean Energy Standard ("CES"). The Massachusetts Electric Company and the Nantucket Electric Company are seeking proposals for the supply of certificates from generating facilities in Massachusetts, New England and surrounding regions that have been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources as Class I new renewable energy resources, Class I Solar Carve-Out new renewable energy resources, Class I Solar Carve-Out II new renewable energy resources, Class II existing renewable energy resources and Class II Waste Energy existing renewable resources that meet the RPS requirements. The companies are also seeking proposals for certificates that meet the APS, CPS, and CES-E requirements. The following tables summarize the quantity of certificates the companies are seeking:

In Rhode Island, The Narragansett Electric Company ("Narragansett") is seeking fixed price bids for load following service to meet its Last Resort Service for the Residential Group, the Commercial Group, and the Industrial Group.
